  • Jamie Vardy, the former Leicester City striker who won the Premier League Golden Boot in 2015, is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to ever grace the English football pitch.

Born on 7th March 1988 in Leicestershire, England, Vardy began his professional career with hometown club Loughborough University before moving to Aston Villa in 2004. He spent two years at Villa Park but failed to establish himself in the first team and was eventually released by the club in January 2006.

After leaving Villa Park, Vardy joined Leicester City for £5m in July 2006. He immediately made an impact for the Foxes, scoring 16 goals in just 31 appearances during the 2006-07 season.

Vardy's breakthrough came in the following season when he scored 23 league goals in 38 games, earning him the nickname "The Fox" due to his striking ability. His form continued into the next campaign, where he netted 32 goals in 43 matches to help lead Leicester to their first-ever Premier League title.

Incredibly, Vardy became the first player since Bobby Charlton in 1966-67 to score over 30 league goals in a single season. His goal-scoring prowess helped Leicester finish in second place in the table and earn promotion back to the top flight of English football.

Since returning to the Premier League, Vardy has continued to be a key player for Leicester,Qatar Stars League Tracking scoring 123 goals in 259 appearances for the club. He has also been a regular for England's national team, earning 32 caps and scoring six goals.

Despite his success with Leicester, Vardy's story is not without controversy. In 2014, he was arrested after allegedly assaulting a man outside a nightclub in London. The incident led to accusations of racism, which were later dropped.

However, Vardy has always maintained that he acted in self-defense and that he did not mean any harm. Despite this, his reputation has taken a hit, and he has faced criticism from some quarters for his actions.

Despite these controversies, Vardy remains one of the most popular and respected players in English football. His talent, work ethic, and dedication to the game have earned him widespread admiration from fans and fellow professionals alike. His legacy as one of the greatest strikers in Premier League history will likely endure long after his playing days are over.
